Euro Symbol Details

The Euro Symbol is available in the latest version of firmware for the latest Zebra printers. Click here for latest firmware details

Introduced in version x.8.1, the printer firmware incorporates the Euro symbol as a permanent resident character at hex location 15H. (Use the ^FH -Field Hex feature to pass the hex "15" to the printer.) See the ZPL manual for details.

Here's an example of using ZPL to print the Euro Symbol:

 ^XA
^FO10,10^A0,40,40^FH_^FDEuro Symbol _15^FS
^XZ

If EURO symbol is not in the standard font set for your printer you can use a TRUE TYPE Windows font containing the symbol. Use the convert utility to create a Zebra compatible font set using the Windows version of ZTOOLS. The symbol can then be addressed using its' hex code.
Note:
There are some versions of firmware that do not support True Type Font capabilities. Check with your Zebra dealer for details.

Another way is to scan the symbol, convert it and send it as a graphic (again using ZTOOLS). The graphic however will be separate from the text field.
